Rep. Keith Self delivers harsh assessment of Biden, Obama impact on America's standing in world

Amid growing concerns about the damage President Joe Biden is doing to America's reputation abroad, one Republican congressman has stepped forward to articulate the urgent need for change at the top.

During an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Republican Rep. Keith Self of Texas took aim at the current administration, labeling it a dangerous extension of the policies promulgated by former President Barack Obama and an existental threat to America.

Self issues words of warning

The congressman made his positions known during an interview conducted during a break in the action at the Conservative Political Action Conference event in Hungary this past Friday.

Specifically, Self leveled harsh criticism at the Biden administration's foreign policy, its treatment of Israel, and its unwillingness to confront the scourge of “woke” ideologies on college campuses and elsewhere.

Further, Self accused Biden of overseeing a regrettable “decline in the influence of the United States around the world.”

Attempting to pinpoint where things started to take a bad turn, Self stated, “It started with the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Soon after that, people started testing us and Putin started moving troops into Ukraine within two months of the withdrawal.”

Unfavorably analogizing the current president to his predecessor, Self continued, “This is the third Obama administration; let's just admit it. Every one of the Obama policies is being exacerbated, encouraged, and executed by the Biden administration.”

“So, I don't believe that our constitutional republic can survive a fourth Obama term,” Self said ominously.

Blockbuster event draws big names

Self's appearance at the CPAC event in Hungary complemented the roster of conservative all-stars who made the journey to address an eager audience.

As the Associated Press reports, the host country's prime minister, Viktor Orban seized the opportunity to tell those in attendance that the forthcoming elections in the U.S. and Europe presented a prime opportunity for conservatives to defeat “the progressive world spirit.”

“These elections coincide with major shifts in world political and geopolitical trends. The order of the world is changing, and we must usher our cause to triumph in the midst of these changes. Progressive liberals feel the danger,” he said. “Replacing this era means replacing them.”

Given his blunt assessment of the Obama and Biden eras, it seems highly likely that Orban's sentiments found a receptive audience in Rep. Self and countless others present at the event.
