US Diplomat Quits Over Biden's Approach to Gaza Conflict
President Joe Biden and his administration are likely panicking after the latest resignation.
U.S. Diplomat Hala Rharrit has quit.
Despite spending nearly 20 years working for the State Department and saying she had zero “intention of resigning,” Joe Biden simply pushed Rharrit too far.
The diplomat took to the social media platform LinkedIn to share the news of her decision.
“I resigned April 2024 after 18 years of distinguished service in opposition to the United States’ Gaza policy,” she wrote in her resignation announcement.
Rharrit says when it comes to America’s stance on Israel and Hamas, Biden and his administration are on the “wrong side of history.”
After she announced her resignation, Rharrit continued speaking out.
Rharrit sat down for an interview with CNN where she let her thoughts be known.
“I had full intentions of continuing on in my career until I reached senior levels. I never had the intention of resigning,” Rharrit said in her recent interview with CNN.
Rharrit simply does not support our country’s position regarding the conflict in Israel.
“I’m fundamentally concerned that we’re on the wrong side of history and we are hurting our interests,” Rharrit said
Regardless of if you agree with Rharrit or not, one thing is clear:
This is not a good look for President Joe Biden.
His ratings have been suffering for months and continue to decline.
From inflation skyrocketing, the impossible price of housing, and so many other difficulties caused by the Biden administration, Americans are suffering and want change.
The president’s stance on Israel and the Hamas may very well be the final nail in his administration’s coffin.
We need someone in the White House who knows how to keep our country together when tough topics begin to divide us.
Joe Biden has had his chance.
He has failed.
We need to make way for a leader who can make decisions that have a positive, lasting impact.
