Trump nominates Ted Cruz's chief of staff to lead DOJ Office of Legal Policy
Donald Trump has been busy filling out his administration, and now he's named his pick to lead yet another important department.
President-elect Trump has officially named Aaron Reitz to serve as the next Head of the Justice Department's Office of Legal Policy.
Donald Trump has referred to Reitz as a "true MAGA attorney" and a "warrior" for the United States Constitution.
Trump made the announcement on Truth Social.
"I am pleased to nominate Aaron Reitz to serve as the next Head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy (OLP)," Trump said.
"Aaron will lead OLP to develop and implement DOJ’s battle plans to advance my Law and Order Agenda and restore integrity to our Justice System. He will be working with Attorney General Nominee, Pam Bondi," Trump added
Reitz has recently been serving as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's chief of staff and possesses prior high-level government experience as well.
"Aaron is currently Senator Ted Cruz’s Chief of Staff, and was previously Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Deputy, where he led dozens of successful lawsuits against the lawless and crooked Biden Administration," Trump concluded.
Cruz was thrilled for Aaron Reitz.
