Taylor Swift total loss at 2025 Grammys

Despite receiving six nominations for "The Tortured Poets Department," Taylor Swift was unable to collect any awards at the 2025 Grammys, as Fox News reported.

In the category of best music video, Swift was defeated by Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us."

She subsequently lost the award for best pop vocal album to Sabrina Carpenter's "Short N' Sweet."

The musical star was also nominated for the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best musical Duo/Group Performance.

Andre 3000, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Beyoncé were among the artists who competed for the title of album of the year. Beyoncé took home the award, in what was a first for her.

Award Winners

After accepting the honor, the "16 Carriages" singer expressed gratitude to the Los Angeles Country Firefighters.

"I’d like to thank and acknowledge and praise all the firefighters for keeping us safe," Beyoncé said during her acceptance speech.

Earlier in the evening, Swift gave Beyoncé the award for best country album for "Cowboy Carter."

"I was not expecting this. I want to thank God – oh my God – that I'm able to still do what I still love after so many years," she said onstage after receiving the award from Swift.

More From the Winner

Beyonce went on, saying "I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists and I just want to encourage people to do what they're passionate about. Stay persistent."

Swift appeared to be in a happy mood throughout the evening, despite not receiving any awards.

The performer of "Shake it Off" enthusiastically supported each winner, including Carpenter and Lamar, by dancing to the performances.

After Swift's "Espresso" was awarded the Grammy for best pop solo performance, the two, both 25, posed for a photo.
