Supreme Court Declines Mike Lindell Case
We have all seen the “My Pillow” guy commercials on TV.
Mike Lindell, the owner of the company, became a major supporter of Donald Trump during the 2016 election and remained loyal after it was announced that Trump had lost the 2020 election.
Lindell is now immersed in his own legal battles, one of which the Supreme Court just set back considerably.
Give It Up
Among his other legal issues, Lindell has been accused of identity theft related to a Colorado scheme to possibly corrupt voting machines in Colorado during the 2020 election.
Lindell had his phone seized as part of the investigation, but he challenged the confiscation in court.
In September, the appellate court rejected the appeal, stating, “Lindell’s irritation as to where and how the government took possession of his cell phone does not give rise to a constitutional claim, let alone a showing of a callous disregard for his constitutional rights.”
Lindell’s last hope was the Supreme Court, but that was denied on Monday.
This particular case involved Tina Peters, who was the clerk of Mesa County, CO.
She was previously indicted for allowing someone to access voting machines and copy information, including private information that would allow the machines to be hacked.
Since the election outcome was announced, Lindell has been inundated with legal issues, to the point of going bankrupt trying to defend himself in the cases.
In addition to the defamation cases, Lindell was ordered to pay a bounty he posted to anyone who could prove the election was not stolen. The court ordered Lindell to pay the man the posted $5 million bounty.
Even so, Lindell continues to support Trump, yet Trump has tried to distance himself from Lindell, who Trump allowed to speak at a White House press conference when he was president.
