REPORT: Jack Smith Winding Down Trump Federal Cases

Some of you may not realize this, but the federal government cannot prosecute a sitting president.

I have mentioned this before, but stated that I thought at best, the cases would get shelved until after Donald Trump left office if he won the election.

It now appears, however, that Special Counsel Jack Smith has decided to pack it in and call it a day.

All Gone

There are a lot of people who believe Trump only ran for office to get himself out of legal trouble, but they surely never had this in mind.

Trump had stated numerous times that he would have Jack Smith fired because he believed the Supreme Court gave him immunity.

As I have stated before, Trump is misinterpreting the ruling, but that won't matter if Smith decides to drop the cases.

According to reports, Smith is now trying to figure out how to wind down the cases since Trump was elected, and neither case is anywhere near going to court.

This suggestion was also made by former Attorney General William Barr.

Barr, who has no love lost for Trump, stated, "Further maneuvering on these cases in the weeks ahead would serve no legitimate purpose and only distract the country and the incoming administration from the task at hand."

He added, "The American people have rendered their verdict on President Trump, and decisively chosen him to lead the country for the next four years."

The only case I was truly ever worried about was the January 6 case, but that now appears dead.

Even better for Trump, reports are starting to surface that the state case and criminal case may also be dropped against him.

If all that happens, I would bet just about anything that Trump pardons Hunter Biden simply to make it even and allow everyone to start fresh.
