Psaki Hammers Dems for Blocking AOC Leadership

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is a little upset with her party.

After the current election, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) took a run at becoming the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee.

Former Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) ran around behind the scenes to back Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA), 74, and she was successful in getting him elected, but Psaki believes that was a huge mistake.

Bad Idea

When I saw that AOC was running for leadership, I questioned if she was ready for the post, but there is really only one way to find out.

I have also been adamant that the establishment on both sides needs to step aside to allow the next generation of politicians to take over.

Yet, there is Connolly, a true member of the old guard, being installed by Puppeteer Nancy Pelosi, who is clearly still calling the shots in the House.

Psaki thinks the Dems missed an opportunity, stating, "House Democrats missed what I consider a big opportunity. They passed over Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for the top Democratic spot on the Oversight Committee.

“Instead, they chose Congressman Gerry Connolly [Va.], a much older member who was backed by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi.

"Why does that matter? This is one of the few committees in Congress that actually generates national attention or media coverage.

“Under [Rep.] Jamie Raskin [D-Md.], it became a critical platform for countering Republican misinformation."

She concluded, "This felt like an obvious chance to apply some of the lessons we should've learned from the November election, right?"

I happen to agree with her except on Raskin countering misinformation because Raskin is a complete and utter idiot that spews more conspiracy theories than Joe Biden, Adam Schiff, and Alex Jones all rolled into one.

AOC is also guilty of putting out posts with misinformation or incorrect information, but she is also clearly a leader among the next generation of Democrats.

Her main point, however, is that Dems are clearly still not getting the message, and it is going to cost them… we hope.

Trump has two years to deliver on some big promises, and if succeeds, I think the GOP can hold the House and continue to roll.

However, if the GOP cannot get its act together and chaos rules, we are going to get booted in 2026 and get our clocks cleaned in 2028 regardless of how bad the Dems mess up.
