Officer Charged After Shooting Woman in Face

A rather disturbing report has surfaced out of Illinois after a police officer shot a woman in the face.

The woman had called the officers for fear of an intruder.

The officers were inside the woman’s home getting her information when everything went sideways.

The woman, Sonya Massey, 36, had called police early on the morning of July 6.

When police arrived, it took Massey a bit to answer the door, so officers checked the perimeter of the home, then she finally answered the door.

Massey let the officers inside to check her home as well, and that's when things started to go sideways.

Officers were taking her information when one officer noticed a pot of boiling water on the stove and asked her to remove it.

At this point, I am wondering why the second officer, who was close to the kitchen, did not take the water off the stove and turn off the burner.

That clearly did not happen, and as Massey grabbed the pot, the officer, who was already a good distance away from her, backed up even more.

When she asked why, he told her that he was backing up from the hot, boiling water, at which point Massey stated, “Oh, I’ll rebuke you in the name of Jesus.”

She repeated the phrase, at which point the officer told her she better not, then drew his weapon and told her to drop the pot of water and get down.

Officer Grayson then tells her, “You better fu**ing not, I swear to God I’ll fu**ing shoot you right in your fu**ing face.”

You can see Massey trying to get down on her knees, when the screen goes black, which is the point when Officer Grayson is believed to have shot Massey in the face, killing her.

I don’t know why the officer was so freaked out when Massey told him she was rebuking him in the name of Jesus, but that is what set him off to draw his weapon.

Perhaps he thought she said something else, which I am sure is the angle his defense will take during his trial, as he has already been charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
