Nauta Told FBI He Was Unaware Of Trump's Classified Material

A co-defendant in former President Donald Trump's criminal case in Florida recently dropped a bit of shocking information on America's FBI.

Walt Nauta claims "he did not have any knowledge" what kind of material boxes he helped Donald Trump contained.

Walt Nauta was interviewed by the FBI back in May of 2022 and subsequently indicted in 2023 for allegedly obstructing justice, conspiring to hide classified material, and lying to federal investigators.

Nauta worked as Donald Trump's personal aide at Mar-a-Lago, and was repeatedly asked by FBI agents about the contents of the boxes that he helped Donald Trump move.

"I wish I could tell you. I don’t know. I don’t — I honestly just don’t know," Nauta said at one point when he was responding to a question about where the boxes had been stored.

Nauta told the FBI that he did help move the boxes, but had never looked inside them and only knew the contents of the boxes that contained "personal items" belonging to Donald Trump.

"Did you look inside any of those boxes?" an FBI agent asked in regard to boxes found on Trump's golf course property.

"No." Nauta replied.

"Were you aware of any boxes of … government documents in the residence?" an agent asked.

"No." Nauta replied.

"Have you seen anything with classified markings?" an agent asked.

"No." Nauta replied.

Nauta did admit that he had looked in the boxes that were marked "personal." He added:

He is quite the hoarder with these particular items. Deodorant … you know, multiple hairspray cans.

Deodorant and hairspray cans, that's why Donald Trump is on trial.

Still believe that this entire scenario is anything other than a witch hunt designed to make Trump's 2024 campaign as difficult as possible?

Me neither.
