Mayorkas Being Pressed on Terrorist Being Freed into United States

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Mayorkas is now staring down the barrel of impeachment proceedings.

The impeachment has already passed the House, and Senator Schumer (D-N.Y.) has vowed to put the measure on the Senate floor for a vote in the coming days.

With it recently being reported that numerous terrorists on the “Terror Watch List” were released to the country’s interior, the GOP is now pressing Mayorkas on how this could possibly happen.

Let Them Go Free

How that impeachment trial will happen is anyone’s guess at this point.

Democrats could dismiss the entire impeachment with a simple majority vote before a trial even takes place if they so choose.

Republicans have expressed concerns on this front, but I have been warning about this from the outset.

If he does go on trial, he just handed Republicans another bullet to use against him.

Before that happens, however, the House Homeland Security Committee’s Republican members are demanding answers on this latest security breach.

It has come to light that at least two terror watch suspects were released after having been in custody.

The committee members, in part, wrote, “The first case involves a member of the U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization alShabaab. According to a news report, the alien was ‘caught illegally crossing the southern border near San Ysidro, California on March 13, 2023; however, he was deemed a ‘mismatch’ and was subsequently released into the interior.”

The letter continued, “The second case involves a Pakistani man allegedly on the terrorist watch list who illegally entered the United States but was apprehended by the Border Patrol the following day. Less than two weeks later, the Terrorist Screening Center confirmed his status on the “’terror watchlist;’ however, ICE eventually released him through the Alternatives to Detention program.”

When FBI Director Christopher Wray was recently in the hot seat, he stated that he was “very concerned” about human trafficking that was related to ISIS.

Mayorkas has gone rogue on this front, ignoring immigration laws and taking it upon himself to determine who is a real threat to this country, and you can see where that has gotten us.

For my purposes, if you ask who I would want to see impeached in this administration, I would rank them as Mayorkas, Blinken, then Biden.

For my money, Mayorkas is the greatest threat to our republic, and he must be removed.
