Kellianne Conway Warns GOP Against Obama Conspiracy Theories

Former Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway is sending up a major warning flag for the Republican Party.

For most of Joe Biden’s term, people have been trying to figure out who is pulling the strings, with most roads pointing back to Barack Obama, at least in some form.

Conway is now telling Republicans to back off that narrative because it could help Biden more than hurt him.

Obama, Not Obama

I think most of us would agree that Obama has a big influence on this administration.

Is Obama actually calling the shots? Well, it would not be hard to convince me that he was at least not one of the people whispering into Biden’s ear on policy.

Conway believes that is a mistake to suggest, and I completely understand what she is trying to say.

As popular as Obama was, if voters think Joe is just his puppet, it could definitely help Biden on election day.

To that point, Conway stated, “Let’s go through some of my favorite, greatest hits when they said, ‘Hey, we’re looking for the strings of Barack Obama pulling your strings,’ thereby making fun of the fact that Joe Biden can’t stand alone.

“But I do worry, by the way, that that becomes a positive if lots of Americans who are fence sitters between Biden and Trump, if they say, ‘Well, if I think Obama is really running the White House, running Washington, running the world, I’ll feel better about that.’”

There is another aspect to this and that is how badly Joe Biden is now hurting among black voters.

That would change if they thought Obama was just using Biden as his frontman.

It is not often that I find myself agreeing with Conway, but this is definitely one of those times.

Having said that, I still believe Obama is heavily influencing policy; I just won’t say it out loud anymore.
