Jennifer Lawrence Told Robert De Niro To 'Go Home' During Wedding Rehersal

Actress Jennifer Lawrence just confessed a secret from her 2019 wedding surrounding the world-famous Robert De Niro during her appearance at the 2024 Golden Globes.

Lawrence had a message for De Niro at the rehearsal dinner for her wedding to Cooke Maroney.

The actress told E! News that at the event at issue, she was extremely worried about De Niro’s happiness.

"Go home."

"I looked over, and I saw Bob, who doesn't know anybody… he's kind of wandering around, and I immediately was like, ‘No, this isn't what he wants to be doing. I don't want him here,'" Lawrence said.

"So I went over and whispered, I was like, ‘Go home' and he was nice — he, like, talked to my parents and was polite — but I was like, 'Go,'" Lawrence confessed.

Lawrence didn’t stop her confession there.

She even admitted in the interview that De Niro leaving the dinner “genuinely made me feel better.”

Lawrence was ultimately watching out for De Niro and knew how uncomfortable him being there without knowing anyone must have been for the well-known star.

Her letting De Niro know it is okay if he did head out was a true act of kindness and friendship.

The two have acted side by side in a few films and developed a working relationship that eventually, if he was at her rehearsal dinner, turned into a wonderful relationship that has lasted many years.

The two are still friends to this day, so it is safe to assume that Lawrence asking De Niro to leave the rehearsal dinner during her 2019 wedding did not sour their bond.

Friends we meet on the job always hold a special place in our heart. There is no reason to believe the world of acting should be any different!
