Clinton laughs as the crowd chants 'lock him up' when she mentions Trump felony convictions

The feud between former President Donald Trump and his 2016 presidential opponate and former first lady Hillary Clinton continues, and the public is still forced to see the bitterness played out.

The same was true when Clinton spoke of her former rival at the Democrat National Convention earlier this week and smiled on the alt-left crowd to seemed to relish the idea of the former president being locked up, as The Daily Mail reported.

As the crowd at the Democratic National Convention began chanting, "Lock him up," Clinton smiled and nodded in an apparent attempt to show Trump how he gets what he deserves.

As the Clinton email controversy unfolded in 2016, Trump spearheaded the MAGA base's chants to "lock her up" in reference to Clinton.

The Speech

On Monday, Clinton made reference to Trump's own legal issues as she advocated for the United States to elect the first female president and provided a strong endorsement of the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris.

"As a prosecutor, Kamala locked up murderers and drug traffickers. She will never rest in defense of our freedom and safety," Clinton said.

"Donald Trump fell asleep at his own trial," she continued. "When he woke up, he'd made his own kind of history: the first person to run for president with 34 felony convictions."

The audience then took the cue and began to mouth the phrase "lock him up!"' and Clinton did nothing to stop it.

The State the DNC

Most of the speech of the nation's inaugural female major party nominee was devoted to the topic of finally shattering the glass ceiling.

"Something is happening in America," she said at the top of her speech. "You can feel it. Something we've worked for and dreamed of for a long time."

She noted that her mother was born in Chicago, and she was born before women were granted the right to vote: "That changed 104 years ago yesterday," Clinton continued while wearing her trademark suffragette white. "Since that day, every generation has carried the torch forward."

She carried the torch, making the speech all about gender, something many in the party no longer believe exists, because of Harris facing the possibility of being the first female president, something Hillary failed to do in 2016.
