Business Insider Fesses Up that Melania’s Christmas Decorations 'Were Good'

As many of you know, one of the “duties” of the First Lady is to decorate the White House for the holidays, with the Christmas decorations always getting the most attention.

Melania took considerable criticism for her different themes, but most of that was because her last name was Trump and the media despised her husband.

Now, finally, after seeing the latest debacle of Jill Biden, people are starting to realize that more often than not, Melania got it right.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

This year’s decorations were odd, and that is putting it nicely. And it is not so much the decorations as it was the bizarre video that Jill Biden put out to celebrate the holiday season.

It was a weird twist on The Nutcracker by a dance troop with a questionable social agenda. Conservatives cried foul and liberals pretended it was the greatest thing they had ever seen.

Now, some writers are taking a look back at Melania’s time in the White House, finally admitting that she actually did a good job.

Melania went outside the box in her first year, decorating the East Wing with uplighting on trees to give the walkway a “snowy” feeling.

In her second year, Melania did the famed “Red” Christmas, which was torched by the media, mostly because the red trees had no lighting or decorations on them.

In 2019, Melania did something that I actually thought was completely out of the box but very cool. Instead of trees, she used acrylic panels celebrating national monuments, design, and architecture. She then used hanging ornaments to highlight the design.

In 2020, with Trump headed out of office, leaked audio was released of Melania saying, “Who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff,” so whatever she did was doomed to failure.

She went very basic, with potted plants decorating the East Colonnade, and no real Christmas ornaments to speak of, a display that would rate number three or four of her time as First Lady.

Madison Hall of Business Insider summed up Melania’s time decorating the White House, stating, “While her decorations were a bit atypical than those of past years, I think it's reasonable to say years later that they weren't all that bad.”

Finally, someone in the media other than Fox News has something nice to say about Melania Trump… imagine that.
