Breyer Coy Comments about Dobbs Leak Raises More Questions Than Answers

Retired Justice Stephen Breyer is about to cash in on his time as a justice.

In addition to the many trips he took on donors tabs, Breyer now has a book about to come out and is doing the usual media tour.

During one interview, Breyer was asked about the Dobbs decision leak that led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and now people are starting to speculate that he may have just outed himself.

Was It Breyer?

I am not sure we will ever know who leaked the decision, but internet sleuths are already starting to point the finger at Breyer.

During an interview with “Meet the Press,” Breyer was asked about the decision and the leak.

Here is his answer…

An investigation was held, but it came up empty in terms of pointing a finger at any one individual.

Considering the rather small field of people who would have had access to that information, it seemed to me at the time that the investigation was never really serious.

And if it was serious, they possibly turned up a name that nobody wanted to reveal, so the report stated that it was inconclusive.

If, for instance, it was a justice, that person would have been tossed off the court and their career and legacy would have been ruined, and I doubt Chief Justice Roberts would have done that to any fellow members of the court.

And yes, it sure sounds like a conspiracy theory, but that seems to be the way our government operates these days, so you just cannot help but wonder.

To that point, the reactions to Breyer’s comments about the leak, even though he said it did not come from him and he did not believe it was a justice, were not positive.

A few of the comments made on X after that clip was aired stated:

“So he was the leaker.”

“He’s doing everything he can to humble brag that he was the leaker without actually saying it. Even the most activist judges fancy themselves as adhering only to the law, but this one is making the rounds bragging about his dismissal of the constitution in his court decisions.”

This is going to be one of those issues where we will probably never know who really did it until we get a deathbed confession from someone, if even then.

It was clearly one of the biggest breaches we have ever seen of the Supreme Court and I just refuse to believe that with all the technology we have today, investigators were unable to figure out where the leak came from.

So, for now, we will just have to settle for internet sleuths and conspiracy theories.
