Biden Says He is Looking at Options to Shut Down Border

Democrats and Joe Biden are not used to the southern border being top of mind for voters, but that is the situation he finds himself in right now.

Up until recently, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been blamed for just about every problem regarding illegal immigration.

But people are finally starting to realize that immigration was under control when Trump was in office, as well as learning about Biden’s secret flights that are shipping illegal immigrants and asylum seekers all over the country.

Joe’s Problem

Democrats would love for people to believe that migrants showing up in cities like New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia are only happening because of Abbott’s busing program.

However, since Abbott started busing migrants to sanctuary cities, he has only relocated about 100,000 migrants.

If you look at the situation in New York, about 175,000 migrants have relocated there since Biden took office.

However, Abbott has sent less than 40,000, while Biden has flown more than 30,000 to the state.

What people are not talking about is the deal that Mayor Adams had with El Paso’s Democrat mayor that accounted for the majority of the migrants being in New York City, along with those that were able to make it to New York on their own.

Sanctuary cities around the country are now up in arms over the migrants being in their cities, calling for Biden to do something to stop this.

Biden is now flipping, claiming that he has advisers figuring out if he can just shut down the border (like Trump did).

He stated, “We’re examining whether or not I have that power. I would have that power under the legislation when the border has over…5,000 people a day trying to cross the border, because you can’t manage it, slow it up.

“There’s no guarantee that I have that power all by myself without legislation. And some have suggested I should just go ahead and try it, and if I get shut down by the court, I get shut down by the court, but we’re trying to work through that right now.”

The funny thing about all of this is that since Biden took office, he and his officials have maintained that the border is already shut down and secure, yet now he is checking his authority on the matter?

For once, I would love a news agency other than Fox News or a conservative-oriented outlet to call out Biden on his lies and claims about the border.

If Biden truly wanted to shut down the border, he could do so with an executive order. That order may get challenged in court by immigration advocates, which is the real reason that Biden does not want to issue an order because he knows if that happens, his hopes of winning 2024 are over.
