Media scrutinizing Pam Bondi’s personal life
You know things are not going good for Trump administration critics when the media starts to look at the personal lives of nominees.
Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, with her vote scheduled for February 3 (actually taking place as I am writing this report).
The media has now taken to attacking her private life in a last-ditch effort to get her disqualified.
Get Her
Unless there is something truly horrific in her personal past, and that is not the case, the media needs to mind its business, but that is not happening here.
Numerous publications have reported on her personal life over the last few days, and the only purpose would be to try to derail her confirmation vote.
Bondi has been married twice, both of which ended in divorce. In this day and age, considering her profession, that is not exactly a headline.
She was married at 24, and divorced just a few years later. Again, at that age, you better believe a divorce was in her future.
She got remarried in 1996, then divorced again in 2002.
As far as anyone can tell, Bondi has been linked to John Wakefield since 2017, with Bondi posting a picture of herself and Wakefield at a concert on her social media page.
There have been reports the two of them are engaged, but that has not yet been confirmed either.
So, what we have here are a bunch of gossip hounds hoping to make something where there is nothing to be made.
Again, if there was some big scandal in her personal life, I get it, but that does not appear to be the case here.
Her biggest crimes appear to have been the AG in Florida and having been associated with the bad orange man.
She has proven herself more than qualified to be the Attorney General of the United States, so let’s hope the Senate does not play any games on Monday, and that by the time you read this, Bondi has been sworn in as our new AG.
