NATO fighters scrambled after Russian Drone Attack
Russia is really getting everyone’s back up with its latest attacks against Ukraine.
Once again, reports have surfaced that Russia has attacked civilian and energy targets in Ukraine (as well as military targets).
This evoked a response from NATO, with fighter jets being scrambled in an effort to quell any escalation.
Game On
The footage coming out of Ukraine was horrible, with apartment residents sent running into the streets after the attack.
Head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office, Andriy Yermak, explained, "Poltava, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia - attacks on residential buildings, on civilians, are typical tactics of the Russian army. They also even wipe out villages in their own Kursk region with people, shelling them with KAB [aerial bombs]....
"The true face of Russia is this. Murderers who have absolutely no respect for any leader in the world, or any other nation. There's only fear, which does not allow them to do the same in Europe. For now."
NATO command in Warsaw responded, "Attention, due to the attack of the Russian Federation performing strikes on facilities located, among others, in the west of Ukraine, the operation of Polish and allied aviation in our airspace has begun."
Putin has had no problem targeting civilian areas and energy in the hopes of having all power cut to apply pressure on Zelensky to cave.
As the reports were coming in, Donald Trump was asked about the progress being made regarding the war negotiations.
Trump responded, "We are having very serious discussions about that war, trying to get it ended.”
When Trump was asked if he had spoken to Putin directly, he was more coy, stating, "I don't want to say that."
This is going to be a problem for Trump if he does not get a peace negotiation done soon, as Trump repeatedly promised to have this conflict over on Day One of his administration, possibly before.
Now, I know the promise was complete and utter nonsense and just a talking point for the election, but the media holds Trump to every word he says, and specifically how he said it.
So, while Trump has had a great first two weeks, the media is looking for narratives to attack, and this is one of them.
To show you how ridiculous the media can be, they are already hitting Trump because grocery prices have not yet fallen, but again, this is because Trump claimed he would get them lowered on his first day in office, which is impossible when you consider the many factors that contribute to these prices.
