Garland Makes It Clear He is Setting Example with J6 Prosecutions

You must not question and you must not resist… that is the message that Attorney General Merrick Garland has for Americans right now.

Garland made no qualms about the fact that his office is using the prosecution of the J6 defendants as an example of what happens when you question the authority of the government.

Mind you, he is dropping the hammer on these defendants while allowing George Floyd protesters to, for the most part, walk away scot-free.

You Will Pay

Garland recently held a press conference where he was patting himself on the back over the severity of the penalties given to the J6 defendants.

He stated, “I think our prosecutions have made clear what we think about people who try to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power, which is [an] essential and fundamental element of our democracy.

“A quibble about whether we have 1,500 or slightly less than 1,500 — but we have way more than 1400 now — prosecutions. We have a substantial number of convictions.

“I think that’s shown to everybody how seriously we take an effort to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power the last January 6, the coming January 6, and every January 6 after that.

“I want to make clear to anybody who is thinking about interfering with that: They can see what we’ve done with respect to the January 6 prosecutions, and [the] Justice Department will continue to protect our democracy.”

Director at Big Data Poll Richard Baris ripped Garland after his presser, responding, “This is what 50% of the country heard from Garland. ‘We’re gonna steal this election and if you try to fight us, we’ll put you in prison.’ God this country is totally corrupt.”

This idea that the J6 protesters were actually threatening our government is absurd.

It was an ugly and embarrassing day for this country, but by now, we have all seen the videos of what actually took place at the Capitol that day.

Yes, there were definitely some people who should have been arrested and given stiff sentences, but there are hundreds of people who were wandering around like tourists who are now behind bars, having done far less than the George Floyd rioters but are paying a far stiffer price.

This is about equal treatment, in my eyes, and that has not been the case under this administration at all.

My opinion on this is that the J6 riot terrified Democrats not for the threat they allege but for the fact that conservatives finally had enough and pushed back, something that very rarely happens in this country.

The left is okay with liberals burning our streets, but they are terrified of the idea of conservatives challenging their authority… and that is what Garland’s prosecutions were all about.
