SCOTUS Denies Biden’s Emergency Request Review
Sorry, Joe, that would be a no.
That is the message that the Supreme Court just gave to the Biden administration after an emergency review request was filed that came across the desk of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The administration had hoped to have its SAVE plan revived, but that is not going to happen.

The Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) plan is Biden’s student loan handout that he has been piecemealing together since the Supreme Court told him this needed to be done through Congress.
Biden has been forgiving student loans in chunks ever since, exposing loopholes in rules and legislation that has enabled him to forgive some loans, but not all.
The reason SCOTUS initially shot down the plan was because of how much money it will cost the American taxpayer.
For instance, the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania claimed, “We estimate that the New Plans will cost $84 billion in addition to the $475 billion that we estimated for President Biden’s SAVE plan, for a total cost of about $559 billion across both plans.”
That was a low estimate because the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) estimated the cost to be between $870 billion and $1.4 trillion.
Either way, it is just way too much to pass on to taxpayers without congressional legislation.
Missouri is among several states that have outright blocked the plan, and Biden was hoping to get some relief, but Kavanaugh said no.
After his ruling, the administration stated, "Our Administration will continue to aggressively defend the SAVE Plan – which has helped over 8 million borrowers access lower monthly payments, including 4.5 million borrowers who have had a zero dollar payment each month.
"And, we won’t stop fighting against Republican elected officials’ efforts to raise costs on millions of their own constituents’ student loan payments."
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey also responded, stating, "This is the second time the Supreme Court has sided with my office against one of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ unlawful student loan cancellation schemes.
"This court order is a stark reminder to the Biden-Harris Administration that Congress did not grant them the authority to saddle working Americans with $500 billion in someone else’s Ivy League debt."
It’s not forgiveness. It is just passing the buck to someone else who never took out the loan, and simply put, it is not fair to the average person in this country who is already struggling to pay their bills.
They took out the loans, they should pay them back. They did not have to choose a school that was way beyond their means, which is why we have state schools and community colleges.
It’s your debt; now pay it back!
