Donna Brazile: SCOTUS Close to Election Interference

Well, we knew this was coming, and I am only surprised statements like this were not coming sooner.

The moment Chief Justice Roberts started discussing remanding the immunity case to the lower courts, I knew Democrats would start to freak out.

Democratic strategist Donna Brazile is now leading the charge.

Election Interference

Democrats want the Supreme Court to expedite every one of these Trump cases to ensure the hearings are completed before the election.

The Supreme Court, however, knowing the magnitude of the decision, is in no rush to make a bad call.

That is not sitting well with Brazile, who is all but charging the justices with election interference.

After SCOTUS arguments were heard, she stated, “I’ve never been here before, and I never thought in the years, almost 30 years that I worked in presidential politics and campaigns that I would ever have to figure out some talking points when your opponent in the case of Donald Trump is sitting in court all day and not on the campaign trail.

“I have to make a statement, because I remember Bush v. Gore as if it were yesterday.

“I do believe that the Supreme Court is dangling into election interference by slowing it down. I’m not a lawyer, but I had to listen to the oral arguments the other day.

“What I heard again was, they weren’t talking about the facts of the case. They were coming up with all these hypotheticals.

“They should go ahead and allow this trial on January 6th to go forward in the district court, and we should know the results before the election.”

Special Counsel Jack Smith had also asked the court to expedite the decision, but the court declined to do so.

Even now, this ruling is not expected until June, so if the court kicks the case back, there is no way that Jack Smith will get Trump into a courtroom before the election.

Honestly, at this point, I hope that is the case because voters should have been able to have some satisfaction on all these cases before the primary race, but that is not on the Supreme Court.

Since Democrats decided to wait so long to drop the charges, trying to keep Trump busy throughout the election season, it would be completely unfair to voters to have elected a nominee who is then taken out of the race after the fact because of these prosecutions.

Dems are just getting a taste of their own medicine here, and they appear to think it is quite bitter.
