Young Former DNC Delegate Switching to Trump

Donald Trump has made a concentrated effort to draw in younger voters, and it has been working.

Thanks to Barron, Trump has been appearing on numerous podcasts that have helped him draw in younger voters, with a significant boost in younger black male voters.

However, a recent post on X makes me think Trump is gaining ground with young black female voters as well.

She’s In

Audrey McNeal was 18 years old when she was elected as a delegate at the 2020 Democrat National Convention.

She was also elected to the DNC as a delegate in 2024.

Now, however, she is switching teams, coming out to vote for Donald Trump, making a post on X to explain her support for Trump.

She stated, “In 2020, I was elected at 18 to become one of the youngest delegates to the Democratic National Convention on behalf of my district. And in 2024, I was elected again to return to the DNC as a delegate. But this year, I’m casting my ballot for Donald Trump…”

This is a growing problem for Democrats because recent polling showed that more Americans identify as Republicans than they do Democrats.

My guess is that the big swing to the far left is not siting well with a lot of moderate Americans, and I firmly believe the overwhelming majority of Americans fall into that category.

Look at former Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, also previously a Representative from Hawaii for Democrats.

She left the party, became an independent, but recently announced that she had registered as a Republican.

Gabbard broke the news during a recent Trump rally, explaining, “It is because of my love for our country and specifically because of the leadership that President Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party and bring it back to the party of the people and the party of peace, that I’m proud to stand here with you today President Trump and announce that I’m joining the Republican Party.

“I’m joining the party of the people, the party of equality, the party that was founded to fight against and end slavery in this country. It is the party of common sense and the party that is led by a president who has the courage and strength to fight for peace.”

Democrats are working hard to appease a minority within the party, and it is apparently costing them significant numbers within the party.

I can say with certainty that had Republicans had any other candidate than Trump, this election would have been a runaway.

It is only close because there are so many people on both sides of the aisle that, regardless of what is happening in this country, will never vote for Trump out of their sheer hatred for this man.
