WWE Star Liv Morgan Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

On Thursday, reports broke that WWE star Liv Morgan was arrested in Florida.

Morgan, whose real name is Gionna Daddio, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

She had been pulled over by a local deputy when her car was spotted weaving all over the road.

When police searched Daddio’s car, they found a small bag of marijuana as well as a vape pen and cartridge that also tested positive for marijuana.

Police took her into custody and she was charged with possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.

She was later released on a $3,000 bond.

Daddio won the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles with Raquel Rodriguez for the second time this year, but she is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury.

In October, her tag team partner, Rodriguez, stated, "Yeah, I’ve talked to Liv. She’s doing great. She’s really recovering well.

"She’s in very good spirits, and of course, she’s very, very anxious to come back. I don’t have a specific date of when she’ll be back. We’re all waiting for her. I know, I miss her terribly.

"So I’m very excited for that. But I feel like time has been flying, and she’s just been on it, on her recovery. So I would assume she’d be back sooner rather than later. And probably before any of us can really imagine."

The WWE has not yet released an official statement on Daddio’s arrest.

Daddio started her wrestling career with NXT in 2014. She had first changed her moniker to Marley in October 2015, but just two months later, started to wrestle under the name of Liv Morgan.

In 2017, she was promoted to the main roster, making her debut on November 21, 2017, during “Smackdown Live.”

Starting in 2019, she was a regularly featured wrestler on the main card, winning the women’s “Money in the Bank” match, which gained her a contract to wrestle for the championship, which she cashed in later that night, winning the belt.

In June 2023, Morgan and Rodriguez beat Rousey and Baszler for the tag team title, but they would lose the title for the second time only 16 days after winning it to Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green.

It is unclear if she will return, recently making a post on her social media accounts that she may be pursuing a career in real estate.
