If you recall, back in August, we reported on a hearing involving FBI Director Christopher Wray.
The issue at the time was that Wray left the hearing early because he had business that required him to leave.
It turns out, just as we reported at the time, that he was going on vacation and used the FBI’s Gulfstream jet to do so.
When we saw the flight logs, it was pretty apparent that Wray was not on official business.
When the FBI was initially pressed, it did state that Wray, who is worth millions, would be reimbursing the FBI for any personal use of the jet.
That aside, because he was “only” going on vacation, one would think that he could have delayed his trip 21 minutes, right?
After all, the jet was at his beck and call, so why not hang out and allow the second round of questioning as he had been asked?
Here is Senator Hawley (R-MO) on the subject…
It shows this administration's pure lack of respect for We the People.
It also shows just how powerless Congress is when a party is not in power.
There is literally nothing the GOP can do to Wray at his point other than try to embarrass him in public.
Unless they have the supermajority in the Senate and a majority in the House, this is about as far as it gets.
Sadly, Wray knows that, which is why he sat there with a smirk on his face the entire time.
