How can someone possibly go missing for four days and not be noticed?
Let me take that to a different level and ask how someone can be dead for four days in a department store bathroom and not be noticed.
That is what the managers at Belk are trying to figure out today.
Four Days
Bessie Durham worked as a contract cleaner for the Belk department store in South Carina.
The woman was found in the store's bathroom when another employee went inside.
She was reportedly in the bathroom for four days and somehow went completely unnoticed.
So, not only did nobody realize the woman was dead, but the company for which she worked never seemed to check up on the woman or with the store to ensure the cleaning had been done over those days.
Durham was last seen alive on Thursday via the surveillance footage.
Shen went into the bathroom at 7 a.m. but never emerged.
South Carolina District 80 Rep. Jermaine Johnson decided to score some political points after her death…
The woman being found in the bathroom deceased at her job should be a reminder and a wakeup call to EVERY employee out there. Employers are about the BOTTOM line so PLEASE I beg you to start INVESTING in yourself and stop letting jobs kill you!!! Rip ma'am.... Your life mattered!

Belk stated, "First and foremost, we send our deepest condolences to the family of Bessie Durham, who was found inside a family restroom at our Columbiana Centre location.
"Ms. Durham provided housekeeping services through her employer, an outside contractor company that provides cleaning services for the store.
"We are actively working to piece together what happened.
"Meanwhile, we have also made counselors available to associates seeking support."
