WI Supreme Court rules RFK Jr.'s name to stay on ballot

The Wisconsin Supreme Court just made a JAW-DROPPING decision.

Former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy will REMAIN on the state’s ballot!

Kennedy dropped out of the election and made the headline-making decision to back former President Donald Trump, shocking the nation.

Since his decision, he filed a lawsuit that would require his name to be covered with a sticker on the Wisconsin ballot or removed entirely.

According to WiscNews.com, the relevant state statute says “Any person who files nomination papers and qualifies to appear on the ballot may not decline nomination. The name of that person shall appear upon the ballot except in case of death of the person."

As a result, the state’s Supreme Court has now dismissed his lawsuit.

“We emphasize that we are not making any legal determinations on our own regarding the claims made by Kennedy and we are not agreeing with the circuit court’s legal conclusions on those claims. We simply are unable to make such determinations, given the inadequate briefing presented to us,” the state Supreme Court stated.

The justices did not stop there.

“Consequently, because there is no basis in this appeal on which we could determine that the circuit court erroneously exercised its discretion, we must affirm the circuit court’s order denying Kennedy’s motion for a temporary injunction,” the opinion said.

Justice Rebecca Bradley, a Republican, released a statement regarding the decision.

“Voters may cast their ballots in favor of a candidate who withdrew his candidacy, thereby losing their right to cast a meaningful vote. Ballots listing a non-candidate mislead voters and may skew a presidential election. In this case, the damage to voter participation in electoral democracy is real,” Bradley said.

Bradley also said the “constitutional arguments” of Kennedy were “insufficiently developed.”

How could the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision regarding Kennedy’s lawsuit end up impacting Donald Trump?
