Windy City Breaks Out in Violence Amid Democrat Convention

Of all the cities to host a convention, Democrats decided to pick one of the most violent in the country.

Dems took many precautions, including locking down the local area with barriers to ensure the locals could not get anywhere near the convention.

Businesses have been forced to shutter when a convention like this would have given them record sales, but Chicago is Chicago, and bodies keep dropping.

They Don’t Stop

I have to admit, these hoodlums are not letting the massive Secret Service and police presence get in the way of their thuggery.

While the Dems are partying, 12 people have been shot in Chicago, one fatally, and that was just during the second day of the convention.

Chicago Police Department Superintendent Larry Snelling stated, "Our officers are out there. They're out there. They're highly visible.

“And we have officers not only along the corridors downtown, in and around the venues of the Democratic National Convention, but also in our neighborhoods to continue to protect our people who are living in areas that are the most vulnerable.

"Our officers are protecting the entire city."

This week could have been a showcase for the city, but the only thing it is showcasing is the Democrat failures in our big cities and how they have turned them into literal war zones.

Something I found amusing was that the police have been turned loose on ANTIFA members protesting in the area.

Unlike other times, they have not been permitted to vandalize and intimidate passersby.

Police in Chicago are dropping the hammer on them, at least for this week.

But I would imagine that come Friday, when the Dems are gone and the barriers are removed, it will be business as usual.

I am going to go out on a limb and predict staggering levels of violence this weekend when things return to normal in the city.

A typical weekend in the summer in Chicago has about five or six dozen shootings and about a dozen or more deaths.

It would not surprise me this weekend if we see triple digits in shootings and double the number of deaths.
