Willis Prosecutor Nathan Wade Admits to White House Meetings During Probe
The House Judiciary Committee just got its hands on Nathan Wade, and boy did he roll over.
Wade, the Fulton County prosecutor hired by Fulton County DA Fani Willis who also had an affair with her, finally came in for his interview.
After about four hours, the GOP was salivating over the information revealed by Wade about the Georgia case against Trump.
Yeah, We Met
From the outset of these charges, there have been allegations that the Biden Department of Justice was coordinating with Willis on the plan of attack to go after Trump.
Some breadcrumbs led people like Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to believe that the officers were coordinating for political benefit.
Wade answered questions about the process for about four hours before the House Judiciary Committee and Chairman Jim Jordan.
While Wade did not disclose particular details, he confirmed numerous meetings with White House officials about the case.
Wade did not say if the meetings were remote or in-person, but that is irrelevant at this point because the White House and the DOJ denied being involved in the state’s case.
An invoice line for billing showed meetings with officials, giving the line detail, "travel to Athens; conf with White House counsel, May 23rd, 2022."
Wade stated that the semicolon means they are two different events, but he did not deny the meeting with White House counsel.
Wade tried to wiggle out, but he eventually caved and said, " Yes,” he did meet with White House counsel.
Wade further stated that he could not recall the details of a meeting that was noted as "Interview with D.C./White House, November 18th, 2022. Eight hours at $250. Cost $2,000.”
Wade’s attorney tried to get cute, saying that the meetings did not say if he was meeting with the Biden White House or the Trump White House, but the dates make that apparent.
If Wade were meeting with Trump, it likely would have said former president, Mr. Trump, or defendant, not the White House.
This is a thread that will surely be pulled by Jordan until he finds where it leads, but it is not a good look for Willis or the Biden DOJ.
