Whitmer Apologizes After Releasing Video Mocking Holy Communion
I have no idea what Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was thinking when she made this video, and it completely blew up on her.
Whitmer served a podcast host a Dorito, mocking Holy Communion.
After it blew up in her face, she offered the obligatory apology and a lame excuse, but nobody bought it.
All Lies
Whitmer knew exactly what she was doing when she took part in this video.
Simply put, there is no other interpretation that can be made when you see this…
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer feeds a left-wing podcaster a Dorito as if it's the Eucharist while wearing a Kamala/Walz hat.
But word on the street is that JD Vance is weird and that MAGA is a cultpic.twitter.com/zgvq5sZntZ

When the video was seen, Paul A. Long, the president of the Michigan Catholic Conference, went nuclear.
He stated that the skit imitates “the posture and gestures of Catholics receiving the Holy Eucharist, in which we believe that Jesus Christ is truly present.
“It is not just distasteful or ‘strange;’ it is an all-too-familiar example of an elected official mocking religious persons and their practices.”
Bill Donohue, the President of the Catholic League, added that the governor had “insulted Catholics nationwide when she intentionally ridiculed the Eucharist in a video.
“The short video was posted by podcaster Liz Plank on her Instagram account. Whitmer, who is wearing a Harris-Walz hat, is standing above Plank, who is kneeling in front of her.
“Plank opens her mouth and Whitmer places a Dorito chip on her tongue, mocking the Eucharist.”
Whitmer thought it would be funny, but she got caught, then she tried to pass this off as an apology:
“Over 25 years in public service, I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith.
“I’ve used my platform to stand up for people’s right to hold and practice their personal religious beliefs. My team has spoken to the Michigan Catholic Conference. What was supposed to be a video about the importance of the CHIPS Act to Michigan jobs, has been construed as something it was never intended to be, and I apologize for that.”
There was no reference to the CHIPS Act, and even if there was, it is just a ridiculous way to make that point. There were surely other options available if that was truly her objective.
They call Republicans “weird,” but this is beyond cringe and deeply offensive for those who are of the Catholic faith.
The only reason she is sorry is because the skit backfired, and I have no idea how she would not realize that would happen.
I can tell you this for sure… that video will never go away, and any hope Whitmer had of obtaining higher office went away as quickly as Dorito was gobbled up by that podcaster.
