White House Silent on Staffers Protesting Israel Policy

What would you consider White House staffers who are openly protesting the position the United States has taken to defend our ally, Israel?

Is traitor too harsh of a word?

Conservatives do not think so, but the White House is being very silent on the staffers that have done this, including a letter and a protest where many of them tried to conceal their identities by wearing masks.

Root Them Out

Just a few weeks ago, a report surfaced that staffers posted a letter, demanding that the White House negotiate a cease-fire by Israel.

Then, this week, this post showed up on X…

The sign, if you cannot read it, says, "President Biden, your staff demands a ceasefire."

The staffers in that picture are career Biden staffers as well as some political appointees.

The staffers told Fox News that "the protest was organized by current Biden administration staffers and the participants were also current staffers from across the administration."

The White House has refused, at least so far, to discuss the incident or say whether these staffers will be disciplined in any way.

Former State Department official Josh Paul, who quit his job over the president's Israel-Hamas war policies, issued prepared remarks to the media.

Paul stated, "The temporary cease-fire ended 13 days ago, and we have been horrified to see the full resumption of killings, displacement, and bombardment of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

"A temporary pause to this violence was never enough. We must move with urgency to save as many lives as possible and achieve an immediate, permanent cease-fire agreement and the return of all hostages.

"The American people and respected institutions like the United Nations are pleading for a cease-fire, but this administration has yet to listen. We demand President Biden and members of the Cabinet to speak up: call for a permanent cease-fire, a release of all hostages, and an immediate de-escalation now."

To this point, Israel has been adamant that this war will not be over until Hamas is completely destroyed and removed from Gaza. As far as Israel is concerned, recommending anything else is supporting terrorism.

Earlier this week, Israel stated that it was close to killing or capturing Hamas’ leader, but also stated this war could last several more months.

Israel is reportedly flooding all of the tunnels under the city with seawater to force Hamas above ground.

While Biden has still publicly supported Israel, there have been reports of a rift, with Biden privately pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to end this as quickly as possible, but Netanyahu, again, has publicly stated that he is not concerned about public pressure.

He is adamant that he will end Hamas once and for all, stating, "You cannot on the one hand support the elimination of Hamas and on the other pressure us to end the war, which would prevent the elimination of Hamas.”

It is worth noting that by current numbers, Israel’s kill ratio in Gaza is 2:1 for civilians to Hamas fighters, which is below the average for most wars, where civilian casualties are often 3:1 or higher.

For instance, in Afghanistan, the ratio for NATO forces is more than 3:1. In WWII, of the 75 million people who lost their lives, roughly 20 million were soldiers, putting the ratio at just under 3:1.

So, by historical war casualty rates and considering that Hamas hides among civilians, Netanyahu is doing an exceptional job of minimizing civilian casualties.
