White House refuses to rule out Joe Biden commuting Hunter's sentence

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has confirmed that what could be many American's worst nightmare could actually be happening.

Joe Biden has refused to rule out commuting son Hunter Biden's sentence for purchasing a firearm while being addicted to crack cocaine.

Karine Jean-Pierre admitted that she hadn't talked to the president about the issue yet, but did here best to keep Joe's options open in case he doesn't want his son to face the proper consequences.

"I haven't spoken to the president about this since the verdict came out. And as we all know, the sentencing hasn't even been scheduled yet," Jean-Pierre said to reporters while aboard Air Force One.

It's certainly out of the question, as the confusion caused by Joe's old age seems to apply to how Joe feels about Hunter's trial as well.

Not only is Joe not willing to have his family accept responsibility, he even went so far as to say that Hunter Biden was being punished for Joe Biden's success.

"If I weren't running for reelection, he would have gotten the plea deal," the president apparently told a confidant in early June.

Karine Jean-Pierre was not willing to say that Joe Biden wouldn't try something to help his son.

In fact, she made sure to leave that possibility open when reporters tried to re-ask the question and she punted again.

"What I'm saying is that the president, I have not spoken to the president about this. And what I'm saying is he was asked about a pardon he was asked about, he was asked about the trial specifically, he answered it very clearly, very forthright. As we know the sentencing hasn't even been scheduled yet. I don't have anything beyond what the president said. He's been very clear about this," Jean-Pierre said.

Joe Biden hasn't yet announced how he's going to approach his son's situation, so America might have to wait for Hunter's sentencing day before we get any more information.
