Anyone who watched Joe Biden’s Thursday night speech knows it was a political attack against the right.
Democrats have been getting away with so much for so long, they figured they could do it here and not get called out for it.
When the media pushed back, White House staffers started to get a little nasty on social media.
You Did It
Among the media members that pushed back were Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason…
“Good manners is nothing they’ve ever suffered from,” @POTUS says about protesters at his speech, in which he accused former President Trump and “MAGA Republicans” of threatening the foundation of U.S. democracy. The White House said earlier today the speech was not political.

CBS News correspondent Ed O’Keefe…
Like or loathe what he said tonight, it should be noted: The president spoke tonight on the grounds of a national park, flanked by US Marines, and took direct, specific aim at his predecessor and members of the Republican Party.
Another thing we don’t see everyday.

And CNN Correspondent Jeff Zeleny…
There’s nothing unusual or wrong with a President delivering a political speech — it’s inherent in the job description — but doing it against a backdrop of two Marines standing at attention and the Marine Band is a break with White House traditions. pic.twitter.com/s3TSYHtkcA

Now, as you know, these are all generally friendly outlets for Biden.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates got a bit salty with all of them for reporting the story, throwing their own articles back in their faces…
It's no more "political" than this accurate and timely reporting from CNN. ⤵️

Here is the thing…
They are journalists, not the current Oval Office occupant that claims he wants to unite the country.
Sorry, Mr. Bates, but your little temper tantrum does not hold water here.
