Do you know how many weddings have taken place at the White House?
Throughout history, there have only been a dozen and a half, and they were always spectacular events the media was permitted to cover.
Joe Biden just changed that and the media is absolutely livid over it.
We can all understand not wanting the wedding to turn into a media-feeding frenzy.
Even the White House Correspondence Association (WHCA) understood that.
They approached the administration about sending a small group of journalists inside to cover the event, but they were told no.
They were told that our house was off-limits, period.
The WHCA stated, "White House weddings have been covered by the press throughout history and the first family's wish for privacy must be balanced against the public's interest in an event occurring at the People's House with the President as a participant.
"The WHCA advocated for allowing a small pool of journalists to cover some portion of the wedding.
"Our request for coverage was declined and we are deeply disappointed that the White House has chosen to keep this event fully closed to the press."
Naomi Biden married Peter Neal on Saturday.
Naomi is Hunter Biden's daughter with his ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle.
The last presidential family wedding in the White House was held in 1971, when Richard Nixon's daughter was married.
Unlike this wedding, the Nixon wedding was well documented by the media.
There was also the Lynda Bird Johnson wedding in 1967, again, covered by the media…
Joe Biden has been struggling with the media as of late, and I would suspect this snub is not going to sit well with them.
Slowly but surely, Biden has been losing favor with outlets, and the level of questioning has gotten a bit tougher.
This move, however, was considered a slap right in the face, so we can only hope the media realizes Biden has absolutely no respect for them, nor does he have any appreciation for how have covered for him over the last two years.
