White House Aggressively Says Biden Staying in Race
Well, I guess we can put to bed all that talk about Joe Biden pulling out of the race and handing the nomination over to Kamala Harris.
Since the debate, Joe Biden has been under severe fire in the media and among some Democrats.
With multiple calls to remove Biden from the ticket, the White House very aggressively answered the bell.
Not Happening
The moment that debate was over, the mainstream media went into a panic.
Within days, multiple left-leaning publications in the media were demanding that Joe Biden step down and allow someone else to take over the campaign.
The campaign has already stated that Joe Biden has no intention of stepping down.
When White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Biden stepping down, she responded, Absolutely not. And you heard, I think, I believe directly from the campaign as well."
She then continued to talk about this being a combination of jet lag (from a trip two weeks ago) and Joe Biden having a cold.
She added, “It was not his best night. He understands that it is fair for people to ask that question, but we cannot forget his record and what he’s been able to do.
“We cannot forget how he has been able to deliver for the American people for almost four years.
"That matters too. And he has the most historic record, the most in modern politics, and that should matter."
Then came the excuses again, stating, "It was not his best night. He had a cold. He was jetlagged. You heard directly from the president about this.
"And when we get knocked out, when he gets knocked down, he gets right back up."
Biden recently told donors, “I am running. I am the leader of the Democratic Party. No one is pushing me out."
Biden reportedly has a big weekend of campaign events coming up, as well as an interview on July 5 with ABC News.
If he bombs those events, you better believe the calls for him to leave will get louder, but the bottom line is they cannot force him out unless they use the 25th Amendment or if Biden himself decides to leave the race.
Otherwise, that empty vessel will be the nominee for the Democrat Party.
