Walz Hurting, Not Helping Harris
When you select a vice president, this person is supposed to help your campaign, not undermine it.
However, recent polling would suggest that is exactly what Tim Walz is doing to the Harris campaign.
Even more damaging is the fact that he appears to be hurting her the most in his home state of Minnesota.
They Don’t Like Him
Even though Walz was re-elected, he does not appear to be very well-liked in his home state, especially among men and parents.
For instance, in a recent poll, Harris’ lead against Trump went from 50-40% down to 48-43% in Minnesota. This has brought Minnesota back into play for Trump, a state that Harris can ill afford to lose.
Of those surveyed, Walz only had the approval of 52% as a good choice for Harris, while 46% were torn between a fair choice and a bad choice.
For men, only 49% approve of his selection while 50% oppose him, and of those, 40% called him a poor choice.
With parents, 51% regard him unfavorably while 49% believe he was the right pick.
This is a big problem for Harris and it just might have her second-guessing her pick.
Again, I thought Governor Shapiro was a no-brainer for her, as he would have easily delivered Pennsylvania and possibly even Michigan.
While Harris is leading in the average polling in those states, Trump is either now tied or ahead in the most recent polling, and he is, as noted above, back in play for Minnesota.
So, if Harris loses this race, you better believe many people will point fingers at Walz.
With the way polling is going now, if Trump can beat Harris in the debate, I think he will swing all the key state polls back in his favor and take the lead again in this race.
And if Trump beats Harris in this election, well, my friends, you know the liberals are going to take the streets and set them on fire.
So, get ready for the media to start talking about mostly peaceful protests again while fires are burning behind them on live TV.
