Walz Blisters Unions That Did Not Endorse the Harris Ticket
For the first time in a long time, major unions are refusing the back the Democrat candidate in the presidential race.
Harris and Walz are not happy about this, with the campaign having already made numerous statements on this front.
Walz just added a little more fuel to the fire, trying to shame the unions for not having endorsed their campaign.
Something Wrong with You
When you don’t support Harris, something is wrong with you, just in case you did not get the memo.
We all saw how Barack Obama shamed young black male voters for not supporting Harris.
Tim Walz is using the same strategy for unions, stating, "They have tough politics inside those. These are folks that are directly responsible to their members.
“And look, some of their members split off. The bottom line is, how can you be with a guy who wants to bust the unions, not there to make collective bargaining the right, not to make health care there?
"Some of those leaders did not show the courage they needed to. The vast majority of union leaders showed the courage in backing us.”
First, while I would personally love to see unions busted, that is not something that Donald Trump has ever said he would do.
Second, the leader of the Fireman’s Union did exactly what his union membership wanted.
Third, the Teamster’s union boss did not do what his union members wanted, which was to overwhelmingly support Donald Trump.
I would say it took more courage for them not to endorse Harris than it would have to betray membership, but that is not how Democrats think.
They are programmed to shame you into voting for them, which is what Walz is trying to do here.
Democrats keep pointing to Trump not supporting the pension bailout, which gifted unions $36 billion from the American Rescue Plan, but they won’t explain why that money was needed.
The unions needed yet another bailout because of corrupt leadership, exorbitant staff salaries, and a steady flow of union membership fees to campaigns.
Maybe if the union bosses actually did their jobs without ripping off union members, they would not constantly need bailouts via US taxpayer money.
These unions are overpromising benefits to lure in workers, then counting on the government to bail them out, and the government continues to do it.
I believe in fair labor practices, and I would rather see the government invest in ensuring workers are treated right than have workers pay these ridiculous union membership fees while sticking taxpayers with a massive tab because the unions need to be bailed out.
Democrats are supporting corruption by supporting these unions, but that should not surprise anyone reading this.
