New York City Mayor Eric Adams seems to be more interested in a Page Six headline than doing his job.
The mayor, in a short period, has become infamous for living it up and enjoying everything the New York nightlife scene offers.
This is while crime is soaring.
CNN’s Chris Wallace called him out, and Adams went to work trying to spin his way out of trouble.
Tone It Down
Wallace questioned the mayor on whether his active nightlife is good for optics while New York has a migration, economic, and crime crises.
Adams responded, “It’s a 24-hour city.
“When I go out, I am patronizing my restaurants, my hotels, my dishwashers, my cooks, then what I do next, I go into the subway system to see if my midnight people are working.
“I go into my hospitals. I go visit this 24-hour city.
“This is not a nine-to-five city and this is a city that never sleeps so the mayor should not be taking a nap.”
Maybe he should spend the whole night in the subway system.
Then perhaps straphangers would be getting attacked and murdered on a regular basis.
