Vulgar language forces 'The View' producers to censor co-host Ana Navarro
Those responsible for producing ABC daytime talk panel show The View were forced on Friday to remove the program's audio for a brief period in order to censor salty language used by co-host Ana Navarro, as the Daily Caller reports.
The segment at issue involved a discussion of President Joe Biden's penchant for public swearing, something his defenders on the stage attributed to his intellect and strong convictions.
Navarro lets loose
During the round-robin observations about the president's language, Navarro herself descended into profanity, choosing a curse word of her own to characterize what she sees as the impressive state of the U.S. economy.
She began, “We got 353,000 jobs added to the economy in January, nearly twice as many as was the median forecast. The unemployment is 3.7 [percent] and wages are up sharply at 4.5 [percent].”
“So, you know what?” Navarro continued, “It's a big effing deal!” though that particular turn of phrase was uttered during the aforementioned absence of audio for viewers of the show.
Hostin concurs
In response to Navarro's proclamation, co-host Sunny Hostin jocularly asked, “Can we say that?” before launching into her own defense of Biden's often-colorful language.
Hostin referenced a recent study suggesting that those who routinely swear possess higher intelligence than those who do not and are also characterized by greater honesty and verbal acuity.
If that study is to be believed, Biden must be a veritable genius, given that he has regularly rolled out course verbiage to describe former President Donald Trump, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, and even something as pivotal as the signing of the Affordable Care Act during the Obama administration.
Turning the tables
Recent reporting has suggested that Biden has, behind closed doors, referred to Trump as a “sick f***,” making his disdain for his predecessor crystal clear, as The Hill reports.
That, in turn, as prompted the former president to launch a fundraising campaign based on the insult, sending an email to potential donors that Biden “doesn't just think that about me, he thinks that about EVERY SINGLE ONE of my proud supporters.”
Trump added that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “calls us deplorables” and suggested that Biden will hurl “every curse word in the dictionary” at Republican voters.
Displaying the utmost confidence in his frank juxtaposition of Biden's foul words with his supporters' anticipated devotion, Trump declared, “we'll be the ones laughing on Election Day.”
