Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Trump Attack: ‘I Do Not Call People Names’

Former President Donald Trump became a loose cannon last week, suddenly turning on several fellow GOP members, and Virginia's Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin spoke out about it.

Youngkin spoke about former President Donald Trump's political attack, saying he "works hard to bring people together."

"I didn’t see it..You all know me," Youngkin said. "I do not call people names. I really work hard to bring people together, and that’s what we’re working on here."

Youngkin: "I Do Not Call People Names"

Youngkin's comment was in response to Trump's post on social media:

"Young Kin (now that’s an interesting take. Sounds Chinese, doesn’t it?) in Virginia couldn’t have won without me," Trump wrote.

The GOP underperformed in midterms, and that seems to have set Trump off, causing him to begin attacking anyone who could be a potential rival in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

"Trump’s comment came after a discussion on Fox News brought up the Virginia governor’s political future and that he 'might be running' in 2024. The former president did also tout his 2021 endorsement of Youngkin, saying, 'I Endorsed him, did a very big Trump Rally for him telephonically, got MAGA to Vote for him – or he couldn’t have come close to winning,'" reported Breitbart.

Trump gave a short speech to promote Youngkin in 2021. In the speech, Trump said that Youngkin was a "fantastic guy" and he had a "great" relationship with him.

It doesn't end there. Trump is making is rounds and calling more republican allies names.

Trump went after DeSantis, who is a widely loved potential 2024 presidential rival. Trump called DeSantis an "average Republican" and added that DeSantis would have lost his first gubernatorial election without a Trump endorsement.

This is the third time in a week that the former president targeted Ron DeSantis after referring to him as "Ron DeSantimonious" last weekend.

What do you think about Trump attacking DeSantis and Youngkin?

Who would you rather see in the 2024 presidential election? Trump or DeSantis?
