Victim of botched Afghanistan withdrawal slams Harris-Biden admin
A victim of the Biden-Harris administration's botched withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan has gone public.
Marine Sergeant Tyler Vargas-Andrews did so in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller.
In the interview, Vargas-Andrews describes encounters - or lack thereof - that he had with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris after he suffered serious injuries in the Abbey Gate bombing.
This comes a little after the three-year anniversary of the suicide bombing.
Vargas-Andrews' encounter with Biden
In the interview, Vargas-Andrews describes the encounter that he had with Biden after having suffered his injuries. Biden and First Lady Jill Biden visited him in his hospital room.
Vargas-Andrews recalled:
[Then] Joe comes over to me, and he leans over, and he just sticks out his right hand, and my left arm is wrapped up in the cast. My right arm is not there, and I’m just looking at him. And he doesn’t even say anything. I’m just like, "I don’t have an arm."
At least Biden, however, made the trip. According to Vargas-Andrews, Harris has not reached out to him.
He said:
She and the current administration are scared of the truth coming to light and having to face the consequences of their own actions and answer for those murdered Americans. If she acknowledges it, either of them took the time to say the names of the 13 Americans that were killed in action that day, that they still haven’t ever said, it would be recognizing their mistakes
In fact, Vargas-Andrews said that it would have been an admission by Harris and her administration "that blood is on their hands."
"It's disgraceful"
The reader will likely remember that Harris played a big role in the Biden administration's decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.
Harris herself, in an infamous video, claimed that she was the "last person in the room" when the decision to pull out was made. More recently, at the presidential debate, Harris, once again, acknowledged that she supported the decision to withdraw the troops.
The reader may also remember that Harris, at the debate, went on to falsely claim that, thanks in part to the Afghanistan withdrawal, there are no more American soldiers in active combat zones.
This is just flat-out wrong, but the moderators did not fact-check her on it - despite the fact that they relentlessly fact-checked former President Donald Trump.
Vargas-Andrews called Harris's debate response "disgraceful." "It’s just, I mean, it’s disgraceful," he said.
