Vance’s Wife Tries to Explain Comments Regarding Children
Several years ago, JD Vance made some comments that Democrats have dug up to take a shot at him.
Vance stated that people without children had no right to lead the country and women who do not have children are miserable. He also stated that childless people were “more sociopathic” than those who had kids.
Now, after getting roasted in the media, his wife, Usha Vance, is defending her husband.
Defending My Man
Vance’s remarks have since been twisted into saying that he was mocking people who had infertility problems, and that was clearly not the case.
I would say his comments were off base to start, as some people simply do not have a desire to have children, and there is nothing wrong with that.
I don’t have children, and I am far from what he described in the interview when he discussed this issue.
I have plenty of friends who don’t have children that fall into the same category, so I would like to see his data on that narrative.
Even so, he was not mocking people with infertility problems.
Usha Vance took up to defend her husband on this front, saying that he "never, ever, ever want to say something to hurt someone who was trying to have a family, who really, was struggling with that.”
She added that there "are a lot of other reasons why people may choose not to have families and many of those reasons are very good.”
Vance has since tried to back away from his comments, saying that he was being “sarcastic” when he made them, but that was not the case, as you can see in the video…

Vance recently discussed that interview with Megyn Kelly, telling her, "People are focusing so much on the sarcasm and not on the substance of what I actually said.”
I think Vance would be best served to stay on the issues at hand rather than making wide-ranging criticisms like this.
Stay focused on the big picture here, JD, especially if you have prospects beyond being Trump’s VP.
