Vance Vows ‘Compassionate’ Border Laws if Elected
One of the biggest attacks from the left against Trump is that he wants to immediately deport every illegal immigrant in the country.
Democrats portray Trump's policies as too harsh, but I honestly don’t think people who want to protect the border really care; they just want the borders locked down.
Even so, Vance made a play to more moderate voters by promising to have more compassionate laws in place if Trump is elected.
Compassion
Vance is trying to lure in some voters who are concerned about the border but may believe that Trump is being a little too harsh.
In response, Vance stated, “The Trump-Vance approach to the border is the way to maximize compassion, not just for our citizens, but for everybody.
“Border policy is compassionate, and I think that Republicans have to remind people that.”
One of the biggest concerns right now is that the Biden administration has lost track of thousands of children who have come across the border unaccompanied.
On this subject, Vance stated, “Right now in the United States, we have about 320,000 children that we have lost track of. Now, these are children, many of whom have been trafficked by drug traffickers, or, God forbid, even sex traffickers.”
I am not sure where he got that number from because the last number I saw was just shy of 100,000, but that is still far too many.
Vance added, “The Democrats, meaning Kamala Harris, wants to tell you that the compassionate thing is to have a wide-open border. I think those 320,000 missing children would beg to differ. The compassionate thing is to control our border, find those children and punish the criminals mistreating them.
“We should not let Kamala Harris claim the high ground on compassion when her policies have led to 320,000 missing children in the United States of America. It’s a disgrace and there’s nothing compassionate about it.”
When these kids come over the border, it is the responsibility of HHS to find relatives or friends of the family to sponsor the children and give them a home.
Reports surfaced that the Biden administration was often rushing the vetting process, resulting in the children being turned over to human traffickers and child labor schemes.
One of the reasons parents send their children over the border is so they can join their children at a later time, which is why chain migration has become a big issue.
When the New York Times report on this initially hit, it created a small wave in the news cycle, but like everything else negative regarding this administration, it disappeared soon after.
The media lost its collective mind when pictures surfaced of children in cages, only the story was bogus because those pictures were taken during the Obama administration, not the Trump administration.
Now, children are winding up with human traffickers and sweatshops, and the media no longer cares simply because there is a Democrat in office.
