United Airlines Pilot Removed Over Social Media Posts Supporting Hamas

A United Airlines pilot has been removed from his role after a controversy over his pro-Hamas social media posts.

Pilot Ibrahim Mossallam's change with the company was announced on Nov. 20 following multiple posts supporting terrorist actions by Hamas.

"For all my friends here in FB land with Questions/Thoughts/Assumptions/Critique about what's transpiring in Palestine, currently in response to the Zionist occupation, please work on expanding your media literacy," he wrote in one post.

Mossallam said that the Oct.7 attack "was not an unprovoked attack, but a response to this past year's attacks by the Zionist regime."

"On Tuesday, United told DailyMail.com that Mossallam was taken out of service with pay as an investigation is carried out," the Daily Mail reported.

"The carrier said that Mossallam was only removed from service on November 20, the same day that his social media posts became public knowledge," it continued.

The move comes following multiple pro-Palestinian protests in the U.S. and internationally following the start of war in Israel after the Oct. 7 attacks.

Hamas terrorists killed over 1,400 Israelis and took more than 240 people hostage in Gaza. The deaths also included over 30 Americans.

Israel has since entered Gaza in its efforts to attack Hamas strongholds and rescue hostages.

The new announcement of the United Airlines pilot comes as a welcome relief to many who are already concerned over flight safety in the aftermath of recent terror attacks and heightened global alerts issued by the State Department following attacks in Israel.
