Two Charges Dropped from Trump Georgia Case
Donald Trump just got some great news in regard to the Georgia RICO case that Fulton County DA Fani Willis is trying to get into the courtroom.
Two more charges were dropped, bringing the total number of dismissed charges since the case started to five.
Judge McAfee stated that the two charges should be federal charges, therefore, Willis does not have jurisdiction.
Can’t Charge Him
The first time McAfee dismissed charges, it was because Willis did not provide enough context.
This time, however, he stated that they were out of her jurisdiction.
This means that Trump is now “only” facing eight charges instead of 13 in Georgia.
After the announcement, Donald Trump’s attorney took a victory lap, stating, "President Trump and his legal team in Georgia have prevailed once again."
Well, they did not exactly prevail, it was just another mistake by Willis, but they will take what they can get at this point.
Willis’ office did not make a comment after the charges were dropped, which is not exactly surprising.
She has been keeping a rather low profile ever since Trump tried to have her removed from the case, an issue that is still not settled.
Willis raised eyebrows about two weeks ago when her daughter was arrested, showing up at the scene to retrieve her daughter’s car with Nathan Wade.
Willis was smart enough to realize that the bodycams were rolling, insisting that Wade was just a friend, but it stirred up the right, looking to have her charged with perjury for saying the affair was over during the dismissal hearing.
All that aside, Trump will not have to worry about this case seeing the inside of a courtroom anytime soon due to the appeals hearing to have Willis removed being pushed back until after the election.
