The latest Twitter Files on Tuesday revealed that the office of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) asked the social media platform to suspend accounts that opposed the congressman.
The requests to Twitter even named specific accounts that the congressman's office wanted stopped.
"We don't do this." Those words to Rep. Schiff are a singular indictment coming from Twitter at the height of its censorship operations. Schiff wanted Twitter to ban an array of critical posters or to "label and reduce the visibility of any content." ...https://t.co/LJz6fcVM3j

"In the second of two back-to-back batches of Elon Musk's 'Twitter Files' shared on Tuesday by Substack writer Matt Taibbi, he reported that Twitter' received an astonishing variety of requests from officials asking for individuals they didn't like to be banned,'" Fox News reported.
"An example he shared was one sent in November 2020 by Schiff's office, who contacted Twitter hoping the tech giant would take action regarding 'alleged harassment from QAnon conspiracists' against Schiff's staff, including aide Sean Misko," it continued.
"Remove any and all content about Mr. Misko and other Committee staff from its service- to include quotes, retweets, and reactions to that content," the request to Twitter read. "Suspend the many accounts, including @GregRubini and @paulsperry, which have repeatedly promoted false QAnon conspiracies."
Dem Rep. Adam Schiff wanted journalist Paul Sperry's account suspended over reporting on Trump whistleblower, Twitter Files reveals https://t.co/E805gDBV1o via @nypost

"The journalist in question was Paul Sperry, a Post columnist who in January 2020 wrote an article for RealClearInvestigations about the purported 'whistleblower' behind former President Donald Trump's first impeachment, for which Schiff served as a House manager," the New York Post reported.
"In the article, Sperry said then-CIA analyst Eric Ciaramella was overheard talking in the White House with Sean Misko, a holdover staffer from former President Barack Obama's administration," it continued.
"A former official who reportedly heard the conversation told Sperry, 'Just days after [Trump] was sworn in they were already trying to get rid of him,'" it added.
The latest Twitter Files reporting adds to other recent reports that have shown many examples of censorship.
The new information now confirms that the suppression even included direct contact from the offices of at least one Democrat involved in stopping free speech.
