Tucker Carlson suggests Trump could be assassinated

Tucker Carlson has suggested that there is a very real possibility former President Donald Trump could be assassinated.

This might sound like crazy talk, but it might not be. Read on to see why.

Carlson made the suggestion - that Trump could be assassinated - in a message that he posted to his X account after a New York City jury found Trump guilty, in the so-called hush-money case - on Thursday afternoon.

The verdict has led to political chaos, with both Republicans and Democrats fighting to control the narrative about the guilty verdict. Carlson would be on the Republican team in this battle.

"If he's not killed first..."

In his post, Carlson began by writing, "Import the Third World, become the Third World. That's what we just saw."

The former Fox News host, here, is clearly referring to the record levels of illegal immigration that have taken place under the Biden administration. Carlson went on to argue that the guilty verdict "won't stop Trump," and it was here that Carlson suggested that Trump could be assassinated.

"This won't stop Trump. He'll win the election, if he's not killed first," Carlson wrote.

He concluded by saying that the guilty verdict "does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world," adding, "Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family."

He's got a point - in fact, several points

Carlson would seem to be right about the fact that the guilty verdict is not going to stop Trump from becoming president.

As you, the reader, likely knows, polling has demonstrated - repeatedly - that the Democrats' attempt to use the legal system against Trump has only served to help Trump. The former president's numbers have only gone up since the start of all of this, and there is every reason to believe that they will continue to go up with the guilty verdict.

As a sign of what may be to come, after the guilty verdict was reached, Trump's donation website crashed from all of the support that he received. It appears likely that he is going to post some large fundraising numbers thanks to the verdict.

So, the guilty verdict - much to the dismay of the Democrats and other anti-Trumpers - is not going to stop Trump from getting elected, which begs the question of what will.

This is Carlson's point: The Democrats have tried everything else - they even weaponized the legal system against Trump - and Trump has survived, meaning that we're at the point where the only thing left is violence. Hopefully, it will not come to that, but, given what we have seen from the Democrats, it is not outside the realm of possibility.
