Tucker Carlson Shares His Thoughts on the 2024 Election
When Tucker Carlson parted ways with Fox News, one of his promises was that he would stop getting into things that he knew little about or were not his specialty.
One of those was in projecting election outcomes, but guess what?
Carlson recently sat down with Megyn Kelly on her SiriusXM podcast to talk about the upcoming election and considering some of his past statements, his prediction caught a lot of people by surprise.
Tucker’s Forecast
Tucker Carlson has made a rather significant change in his outlook on Trump.
From leaked audio, we know that Tucker did not exactly have a high opinion of Donald Trump when he was working for Fox News.
The indictments of Trump, however, have changed his opinion of the man and how he sees the 2024 election playing out.
For one, Tucker stated that the people he has talked to in recent months are both “angry and paranoid.”
He stated, “Seriously, and these are not crazy people. These are normal good people with like kids and stuff. With a vested interest in Americans’ success. These are not the burn-it-down caucus. These are the, you know, these are the people you want voting.”
On Joe Biden, Carlson stated, “You’ve got two people running for president — one of them is literally senile… Yet he’s standing for reelection at the age of 80.”
When it came to Donald Trump, he made the obvious observation, “Every time he gets indicted and every time they tack years onto this potential sentence, he becomes more popular — and now he’s winning.
“Nothing that is happening now or that has happened for the last five or six years can be explained through conventional political terms.”
It was not exactly a prediction, but you see where he is going and that he clearly thinks Trump has the upper hand right now.
Carlson also addressed the rumors that have Trump considering him for his VP, stating, “But serving in politics with anybody, I mean, that’s just– that’s a– it’s a lot for me to think about because I just don’t think I’m really suited for that. Would anyone want to see a guy like me run for office?”
One thing I can tell is that Trump’s cabinet, if he wins, will not resemble anything we would consider to be traditional choices, so Tucker being a part of that would not surprise me one bit.
