Tucker Carlson Criticizes George Floyd Investigation, Says 'Everyone Lied'

Conservative media leader Tucker Carlson blasted the investigation following the death of George Floyd in a new video.

The Friday segment claimed that Floyd was not murdered at the hands of former police officer Derek Chauvin who was convicted following the incident in 2020.

“In other words, George Floyd, according to the official autopsy, was not murdered,” Carlson said in his monologue.

“He died instead of what we used to call natural causes, which in his case would include decades of drug use, as well as the fatal concentration of fentanyl that was in his system on his final day. So this was not a killing, it was yet another narcotics OD in a country that records more than 100,000 of them every year. The medical examiner clearly understood that and, in fact, articulated it," he added.

“I called Dr. Baker early that morning to tell him about the case and to ask him if he would perform the autopsy on Mr. Floyd," Hennepin County prosecutor Amy Sweasy swore under oath.

"He called me later in the day on that Tuesday and he told me that there were no medical findings that showed any injury to the vital structures of Mr. Floyd’s neck. There were no medical indications of asphyxia or strangulation,” the report added.

Chauvin's arrest of Floyd was recorded and became viral footage in 2020. The video was also used in court as testimony that Floyd was murdered by the officer.

The former officer is now serving 20 years in prison following his sentencing.

The controversial monologue by Carlson three years after the event continues to stir strong emotions from Americans, soon trending on social media.

Not all will agree with Carlson's conclusions but the segment does highlight concerns with the investigation that linger long after the conclusion of the trial.
