Trump Wishes King Charles a Speedy Recovery from Cancer Diagnosis

One of the big reports over the weekend was the news that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer.

There had been speculation a few days earlier because of Charles being admitted to the hospital, but now it has been confirmed.

Trump always seemed to have a good relationship with the royal family, so it was not a surprise to see him extend best wishes and a speedy recovery to Charles.

Cancer Diagnosis

Charles had gone into the hospital last week to have an enlarged prostate treated.

When the doctors finally got a look at him, they were able to diagnose a different issue, with it being announced that Charles had cancer, although it is reportedly unrelated to his enlarged prostate.

Trump sent his get-well message via Truth Social, posting, “KING CHARLES HAS CANCER. HE IS A WONDERFUL MAN, WHO I GOT TO KNOW WELL DURING MY PRESIDENCY, AND WE ALL PRAY THAT HE HAS A FAST AND FULL RECOVERY!”

King Charles, who was only coronated in May, will likely have a very short time on the throne as King.

At 75 years old, he had been waiting in the wings for decades for his mother to turn over the throne, but she stayed in control through her last breath, passing away at 96.

There has already been talk that Charles may willingly turn over the crown to Prince William sooner rather than later.

Not to be outdone by Trump, Biden made sure he told the media that he was about to reach out to King Charles on the subject.

Biden stated, “I'm about to call him. I’m concerned about him. Just heard about his diagnosis.”

Buckingham Palace announced that Charles’ treatments would begin immediately, with his public duties being dialed back considerably, with the safe assumption being that William would be pressed into duty, much like Charles did during the waning days of the Queen’s rule.

Buckingham Palace stated, “His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.

“Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”
