Trump Will Attend South Carolina-Clemson Game

Donald Trump has started to turn sporting events into campaign events.

It is a touch of brilliance, actually, because it costs him nothing and he gets significant exposure by attending the events.

Not to mention the fact it makes him appear more like the “average” person due to this country’s obsession with sports.

To that point, Trump will be attending a big college rivalry game this weekend to boost his campaign.

Trump in Attendance

Trump recently attended a UFC fight to chants of “U-S-A” as he walked in.

Just about everyone in attendance for the fight was excited to see him there, that is except for the wife of comedian Bill Burr, who double-flipped Trump off while he was greeting the crowd.

Trump is generally careful to attend games in southern states where he is far better received than in blue states, so picking the South Carolina-Clemson game was a very safe bet for Trump.

With both schools anchored in South Carolina, fans for both teams will be happy to see Trump at the event.

Campaign spokesman Stephen Cheung stated, “President Trump is excited to join Governor McMaster and so many from across the state to take in this wonderful game.”

The South Carolina Gamecocks are 5-6 this season, and they will be hosting the 7-4 Clemson Tigers, who are already familiar with Trump.

If you recall, Trump was in office when Clemson won its national championship, only there was a partial government shutdown during the 2019 visit to the White House.

Trump decided to put out a fast food buffet, which the players reportedly loved, but the media hammered Trump for the food choice.

Choosing this game is also proof that Trump has been paying attention to the surge of former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who chose her home state for his sports fix this weekend.

I am sure he is hoping that this little visit will take a bite out of her support and add a few more points to his already almost insurmountable lead.
